Biography
Marie Kreuz was born on March 26, 1965 in St.Wendel/Saarland. She studied fashion design at the Hochschule der Kuenste in Bremen and at the Instituto dell'Abbigliamento in Milan, and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2001. She was head of the fashion department at the Best-Sabel Design School in Berlin. One focus of her work has been a commitment to ecology and sustainability in the context of intercultural educational projects with francophone countries such as Mali and Cameroon. She is concerned with the issues of cultural identity and rapprochement in intercultural design dialogue. Her participation in the exhibition Paper and Sound is an exploration of the resonance of paper that inspires her - as a sound body between art, fashion and sustainable transformation. Lean Alev was born on June 17, 1955 in Bursa, Turkey. Studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. Since 1999 lives and works in Berlin. Work stays alternates between Brixen, Paris and Valencia. For him, art is not something produced according to plan. Artistic work is committed to experimentation, an interplay between intuition and mental modeling.
