Children's Paper Orchestra - Steffi Weismann and Sofia Nordmann
Through the subproject "Children's Paper Orchestra", children will play a large role in the artistic research during the papier & klang festival.

About the event:
At the FRIXberg Youth Art School, the "Children's Paper Orchestra" is currently being formed under the direction of Steffi Weismann, Sabine Hilscher, Sofia Nordmann and a team of teachers in Kreuzberg.
Together with the children, the artists are investigating what paper can do, how it sounds, what happens when it is shaped, folded, torn, used as a resonance space or percussion surface. The children should be enabled to discover their own creative and musical abilities and experience working successfully on a project together with others. Can paper be dressed? Does homemade paper sound different from sandwich paper? Objects will be built, playable costumes will be developed and what paper makes sound in us will be explored.
The children's paper orchestra will be heard by the event partners Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus e.V. in the atrium of the Willy-Brandt-Haus on 11 July 2023 at 6 p.m. as part of the papier & klang festival.
